The Blair Witch Game Digs Up A Gameplay Trailer

The Blair Witch Game Digs Up A Gameplay Trailer

Bloober Team’s fast-upcoming Blair Witch game has received a new gameplay trailer, showing your investigations and trusty dog partner.

Much like the team’s previous Layers of Fear games, this looks to have a strong reliance on puzzle solving and setpieces, with some moments of running from a partially visible monster. Your dog can dig and fetch items for you, and you appear to be able to view other people’s recordings.

For those unaware, The Blair Witch Project was originally a 1999 American horror film written, directed, and edited by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez. It tells the fictional story of three student filmmakers who hike in the Black Hills near Burkittsville, Maryland in 1994 to film a documentary about a local legend known as the Blair Witch. The film is credited with popularizing the “found footage” framing device that went on to be used in other horror hits like Paranormal Activity and Cloverfield.

You’ll be able to see for yourself if this brave and foolish man and his brave and good dog survive when Blair Witch comes out on Xbox One and PC August 30th. We’ll probably have more things to say about it around that time, so stay tuned.
