New Guilty Gear Announced at EVO, Coming To PS4

Best Visuals 2020

Arc System Works announced at EVO 2019 that the next full Guilty Gear installment is on its way, confirmed for PlayStation 4 so far.

The new Guilty Gear on it’s way for 2020, and it looks better than ever. This GG looks to combine the jaw-dropping cell-shaded 3D visuals that Arc has used in their past several games with a new, smooth animation style that for a look that, in this writer’s opinion, hangs with the all-time greatest animated films as one of the best-looking pieces of media ever made – and it bears repeating that this uses 3D models! Words and pictures can’t do it justice, so watch the official trailer here.

A bit more news came out earlier today. The currently un-subtitled game (you know it’s gonna’ be dumb) will be playable at ArcRevo World Tour Final 2019 on November 16th and 17th at the UC Irvine Student Center in Irvine, California. The “Demo Game Corner” of the official schedule for the event also confirms that it will release on PlayStation 4, with other platforms yet to be confirmed. Other playable titles at the event include BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition and Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r], as well as BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, and Kill la Kill: IF.

The new Guilty Gear game is due out in 2020 for PlayStation 4, and possibly other platforms. More info will likely crop up in the coming months.
