The Final Rick And Morty Season 4 Trailer Is Here

100 Years Of Rick And Morty Continues

Season 4 of Rick and Morty is just around the corner, and to tide fans over, Adult Swim has released one more trailer.

The third season of the madly popular Adult Swim show concluded in 2017. Since then, fans have waited eagerly for more, keeping the hype machine well-oiled (yet paradoxically obnoxiously squeaky) with online discussions. A clip out of San Diego Comic-Con showed the character voiced by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, but that’s slim pickings compared to a whole minute-and-a-half-long trailer.

The new trailer highlights some of the hijinks that Rick and Morty will get into this season. There are floating hover chairs, buff alien security guards, a showdown between Summer and Beth, and the return of Mr. Poopybutthole. The best part is that that’s bound to be the most mundane of all the shenanigans we’re about to witness.

The first five episodes of Season 4 will arrive this year, while the second half is set to premiere in 2020. But while there will be a bit of a gap before we can see the rest of Season 4, co-creator Dan Harmon has promised that fans will never have to wait as long as they have since Season 3.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Harmon said: “I think it’s safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between Seasons 3 and 4 will be the longest and last time that it’s ever so long that it’s ridiculous. I don’t know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again.

Rick and Morty returns to Adult Swim on November 10th. We’re all pretty jazzed to see them and their antics again. Hopefully the creators’ concerns regarding talent bleed and creative stagnation can be averted for a few more seasons.
