In collaboration with Lucasfilm and Microsoft, Seagate today announced the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order-themed Game Drive for Xbox.
Available for pre-sale now, the new portable Game Drive for Xbox offers 2TB of extra hard drive capacity. The collectible Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order themed special edition features the imposing Purge trooper – a specialized class of Imperial soldier trained and equipped to assist the Inquisitors in hunting down Jedi and other Force-sensitive beings who threaten the Empire. They’re a pretty good design, I’d say, and definitely make the Empire seem a bit more menacing.
The set up for the Game Drive is a snap. Simply plug it into your Xbox One console (or PC, most likely), and it is instantly recognized and installed through a quick and easy-to-follow setup process. With USB 3.0 speeds, games played from the drive will perform as if they were playing directly from the console’s internal hard drive.
Game Drive for Xbox is small enough to slip into a pocket, does not need a separate power cord, and can store more than 50 downloaded games (averaging from 30-50GB in size) plus downloadable add-ons and achievements for continued play on Xbox One, Xbox One S, or Xbox One X systems. Having used an external hard drive to store games for my Xbox 360, I can attest to the usefulness of this sort of thing.
The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order themed special edition Game Drive for Xbox from Seagate is available for pre-sale and will be officially in retail later this month for $99.99 USD. As with all of Seagate’s Special Edition Game Drives, it will be available in limited quantities, so be sure to get it while you still can. And on the topic of Jedi: Fallen Order, I really hope Respawn makes another hit.
