Microsoft Unveils Xbox Series X

Project Scarlet has a name.

Microsoft officially unveiled its next-gen Xbox during The Game Awards 2019, and it will be called the Xbox Series X.

Previously known as Project Scarlet, the console will launch in Holiday 2020. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer took the stage after the announcement and said that the Series X was the most powerful Xbox Microsoft has made, and that it would set new bars for speed and performance. He also said that Xbox studios around the world have been hard at work developing new games for the console, but only one title was announced.

The first game showcased for the new console was Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. The sequel to 2017 Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, this will be the first title Ninja Theory will develop after being purchased by Microsoft in 2018. You can view the trailer below:
