Children at Home are Getting Messages From a Spider-Man Actor In COVID-19 Pandemic 1

Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse actor Jake Johnson is putting his voice back on as Peter Parker to send personalized messages for children isolated in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Johnson made his proposition after receiving notices that parents were watching the animated 2018 superhero flick with their children to pass time. Over an Instagram post, he included a working email for families to send a request if their kids want a short hello from Spider-Man. “Send me an email with their name and I’ll try and send over a short voice note,” Johnson wrote. “If I don’t get to you, I apologize.”

@mrjakejohnson: “Since the quarantine a lot of parents have DM’d me saying they’ve been watching Spiderverse with their kids. A lot.
So, here’s my idea. If your child is home from school and wants a quick encouraging message from Peter B Peter, then send me an email with their name and I’ll try and send over a short voice note. If I don’t get to you, I apologize. #stayhome

Through the email [email protected], you can put a name in for someone staying at home while a backlog is expected from children around the world.

In the Spider-Verse film, Johnson plays an unlucky version of Peter Parker from  Earth-TRN701 who accidentally teleports into Miles Morales’ dimension after a freak-accident merges worlds together. Before meeting other versions of the wall-crawler, he trains Morales to become Spider-Man while finding a way home.

Johnson encouraged people to stay home in order to prevent further spread of the coronavirus. As more people continue to spend time away from work, Spider-Man becomes a hero both children and hardworking parents deserve to hear from.

He will also be reprising his role in the sequel to Into the Spider-Verse, confirmed on Twitter to be coming in 2022.
