ASUS Reveals New Gaming Laptops with 10th Gen Intel Cores

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is joining Intel’s announcements for their upcoming 10th Gen Intel Core microprocessors, refreshing their flagship gaming laptops with improved hardware and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX Super graphics.

Tagged as its “ROG Spring 2020 Collection,” the line will come with the upgraded Zephyrus Duo 15 with a multi-touch display and the Zephyrus S, M and G models to give users different choices over portability and price. The upgrades also come to esports-dedicated computers, including the ROG Strix G15 Electro Punk laptop. Newer compatible accessories will also roll out with these models.

Each laptop also ties into Intel’s focus on gamers switching to portable for high-end gaming. ASUS’ upcoming models combine the upgraded eight-core CPU with Nvidia’s latest RTX 20 graphics in hopes of giving players no compromises on desktop gaming experiences. Many of these are also geared to professional gamers looking for more freedom when practicing.

The Zephyrus Duo 15 comes with a smaller second touchscreen running at a 14.1-inch 4K 3640×1100 resolution. Its hinge reclines up to 13 degrees for different modes of viewing under a slimmer laptop body, containing the new Intel 10th Gen i9 and an RTX 2080 Super GPU.

Two options for the Duo 15 also come with the laptop at a choice of 300Hz FHD screen or a 4K UHD screen with Adobe RGB integration. Both will include Nvidia’s G-Sync technology and desktop-level settings and battery saving settings.

Other models including the ROG Strix SCAR 17 offer an aluminum shell designed for optimal cooling under intense gaming sessions with a 300Hz display. Tailored for esports, the low-latency machine also gives players an edge with maxed out setting through an i9-10980HK and 32 GB of 3200 DDR4 RAM. Both work together to power a whopping RTX 2080 Super GPU.
