Death Stranding PC Release Delayed to July 14

Kojima Production and publisher 505 Games have decided to delay the PC release of Death Stranding from its original date of June 2, now hitting stores July 14, 2020.

In a Tweet from developer Kojima Productions they outlined: “Following the temporary closure of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, we have had to delay the PC launch of DEATH STRANDING to July 14, 2020, to allow more development time amidst the current work-from-home orders in place. Thank you all for your patience and continued support!”

According to 505 Games, the PC version of Death Stranding was said to include numerous features not seen in the original PlayStation 4 version of the game. Beyond new Half-Life related content, the PC version is said to include a photo mode, high frame rate and ultra-wide monitor support.

Death Stranding first launched on PlayStation 4, November 2019, with mixed critical and consumer reviews. CGMagazine’s Joel Couture summed up his review by saying “Death Stranding’s attention to the real may make it difficult to enjoy, but it is undeniably an experience that will both scourge and soothe the heart.” The PC version of Death Stranding is slated to release via Steam, and the Epic Game Store for $59.99 USD, there will also be a retail physical edition of the game that will cost $69.99.
