Monster Collaborates With Halo Infinite Ahead of 2021 Launch

It was only a matter of time until Halo Infinite collaborated with Monster Energy, ahead of its release date for early 2021. Though 343’s anticipated title for the Xbox Series X and PC were delayed from developer setbacks, Halo‘s latest partnership with the energy drink brand is still going strong (in caffeine and sugar).

In an announcement, Monster stated its promotion with Halo Infinite would come with double XP vouchers in every can from now to December 31, 2020. Apart from Master Chief’s glorious stature printed onto a special edition can, the points can also be used to “Bank now/Play later”. This gives players a significant boost for progression on Day One when they access the free-to-play multiplayer and redeem their Monster codes.

“Consumers will still be able to stock up on Double XP points per can ahead of the 2021 game launch and unlock access to the Halo Infinite world through Monster Energy’s exclusive Snapchat filter encoded on each can,” the company wrote. They added each can includes a Snapchat code, leading users into a special AR experience that contains teasers and other surprises for Halo Infinite.

“One will provide exclusive monthly augmented reality experiences set in the Halo universe and the selfie side lens will transform users into the Master Chief to show off to their friends. Users who scan all 3 Snapchat codes each month will unlock an exclusive in-game weapon coating.”

Similar to Call of Duty Modern Warfare‘s marketing across Monster and Doritos, players can access Monster-Halo.com to punch their codes over desktop or mobile. Accounts will also link to their Microsoft accounts, sending the tokens directly into their games. According to Monster, every entry will also give players a chance to wind some grand prizes. Ten winners get a trip to Paris for a zero-gravity experience in the stratosphere. The trip also comes with an all-inclusive vacation in France, complete with flights, hotel and $1000 in cash. Another 200 winners get the Xbox Series X console for free after it launches on Holiday 2020. Winners of neither still get a tasty Monster Energy Drink from their local grocer.

Nonetheless, everybody wins. Players can start accumulating points starting now and until December 31, 2020.
