In a blogpost on Epic’s website, this new skin will be featured as a prize for the top teams in each region who compete in the aptly titled “Daredevil Cup” of the Marvel Knockout Super Series tournaments, the first of four competitive cups that will launch Wednesday, October 14th. Epic has also stated that the skin will be available in the in-game Item Shop at a later date. Also in a recent related tweet, Epic mentioned that there will be other Marvel skins on the way as well.

So far, Fortnite has seen the introduction of 10 new Marvel characters this season; 8 of which being part of Season 4’s Battle Pass, while the other two, Silver Surfer and Blade, were previously made available for a limited time in the Item Shop. A Captain America skin from the previous season was also available again for a brief time this season.

Seeing the man without fear make a significant splash in one of gaming’s biggest titles has certainly made fans of the character excited, as many have been clamouring for more from the character following the unfortunate cancellation of the Marvel hero’s acclaimed Netflix series. Regardless, we look forward to seeing this skin in action soon.

Fortnite is available now and free-to-play on all major devices. Chapter 2 Season 4 is sadly not available on mobile devices at the moment following Epic’s current lawsuit with Apple and Google.
