Everything Announced During the Summer Game Fest Kickoff Stream

Summer Game Fest kicked off a busy week for the world of video games, just ahead of the start of E3 2021.

Geoff Keighley’s show had a ton of announcements to share, clocking in at nearly an hour and a half. Getting the obvious out of the way, the biggest announcement was a World Premiere look at Elden Ring, with an actual gameplay trailer and release date of January 21, 2022. It still looks very Dark Souls, but in a more open-world environment with rideable mounts and everything.

Some of the other more notable announcements were the new game from Gearbox, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, which follows in the looter-shooter footsteps of Borderlands. Hideo Kojima appeared to announce Death Stranding Director’s Cut coming to PS5.
