Game Pass Became the 'beths' Deal after Xbox Bought Bethesda

Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass in July 2021

Xbox Game Pass is the best deal in video games with all Microsoft-published games hitting the service at release and hundreds of other games to enjoy at any time, at no additional cost outside the monthly subscription cost.

Xbox Game Pass includes everything from thought-provoking indies to the latest and greatest third-party releases in its library and its monthly offerings can vary just as much when new games are added. And July is no different.

July includes unique indies, multiplayer madness, and even some new ways to play games already available in Xbox Game Pass with the power of the cloud. There’s even a new Space-Jam game to claim and keep for anyone subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which is the service that combines Xbox Live Gold, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass into one tasty bundle.

There were a few games that were added toward the end of June that are definitely worth mentioning before focusing on July’s additions. Worms Rumble released for PlayStation platforms and PC in December 2020 but it recently released on Xbox and Nintendo Switch. It’s playable on Cloud, Console, and PC in Game Pass so you can enjoy it wherever you prefer to play. It has full cross-play as well so it’s the perfect time to jump in with friends.

Ion Harvest and Prodeus also joined Game Pass toward the end of June but are only playable on PC. Prodeus is in Xbox’s Game Preview phase so the retro shooter may have bugs or issues in its current state.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is the last game that was added at the end of June. EA’s remaster of the cult-classic and first entry in the Need for Speed franchise is playable on PC and Console. It’s technically in EA Play but thanks to the power of magic, EA Play is part of Xbox Game Pass.

Several games are being added on July 1, and most of them are playable on Cloud, Console, and PC. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is already playable on Console but it’s being added to the Cloud library too. Rare Replay was never released on PC so this is likely Xbox’s way of trying to make the game available to as many people as possible through the power of the cloud.

Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, Gang Beasts, Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars, and Limbo are also all coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 1. These games will all be playable on Cloud, Console, and PC so you can play them wherever you’d like.

And for anyone subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Space Jam: A New Legacy will be free to claim as an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perk. The game won’t be available in the regular library. Instead, people can claim it and own it forever, free of charge. It’s a retro beat ’em up set in the Space Jam universe to celebrate Space Jam: A New Legacy, which is releasing soon on HBO Max and in theatres.

Games get added to Xbox Game Pass all the time but games also sometimes leave. The good news is Xbox always lets everyone know ahead of time and you can even purchase them with a 20% discount before they leave the service.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Mistover, Monster Hunter World, Out of the Park Baseball 21, Outer Wilds, Soulcalibur VI, The Messenger are all leaving Game Pass on June 30.
