Toward the start of Sony’s E3 2014 press conference, developer Sumo Digital appeared on stage to announce and demo Little Big Planet 3.
The demo saw the return of Sackboy, along with a few new friends including Toggle, Oddsock, and Swoop. Each of the new characters have their own unique abilities that aid them in particular platforming sequences. Among them, Toggle will be able to switch from big and heavy to small and light, Swoop can fly, and Oddsock has the rare ability of being a wall-jumping dog.
Little Big Planet 3 will return to the series’ core mechanic of content creation, and all of the 8.7 million levels created in Little Big Planet 2 will be up-scaled and available to play in 3.
Little Big Planet 3 will release on the PlayStation 4 this November.
