Fans wondering if they’ll ever see Rodea The Sky Soldier don’t have to worry anymore. Last night at NIS America’s press event it was announced that the title will make its way to the Wii U and 3DS this fall in North America and Europe in 2015.
Created by Yuji Naka (one of the creators of Sonic The Hedgehog), and Zin Hasegawa (known for his character design work in Fatal Frame and Project Zero), the first game in the series was set for a release on the Wii and 3DS but never happened. In Japan, that game will be included with pre-orders, but there is no word on if North Americans will get that treatment.
It’s an action adventure game in the sky—similar to another Naka hit NiGHTS: Into Dreams. It takes place in a peaceful kingdom where a young inventor uncovers a robot. She turns out to be Rodea, who is from an ancient kingdom that was at war. And she was uncovered at the right time because that peace won’t last.
