Players can torture themselves with Dark Souls 3 this spring as Bandai Namco officially announced a release date to the newest entry into From Software’s franchise.
Dark Souls 3 will be available in North America on April 12, 2015 (my birthday!) for PS4, Xbox One and Steam, giving people enough time to hone their hunting skills with From’s latest release The Old Hunters Bloodborne DLC.
A day-one edition of DS3 will be available, and while I usually discourage people from people from pre-ordering and purchasing day-one editions, this one does come with a soundtrack, and I am a real softy for game soundtracks.
The collectors edition, priced at $129.99 will feature the soundtrack, an official art book, a cloth game map, a 10″ Red Knight Statue and a special collectors box.
In this rare instance, I would say a pre-order is justified for such an extensive amount of content that will most likely have a limited run.
