Rocket League and WWE Announce Partnership

Rocket League and WWE Announce Partnership 2

It looks as if WWE could be making its way into the racing world, thanks in large part to their recent announced partnership with Rocket League. The official Twitter account for Rocket League broke the news and referenced their sponsorship of the upcoming WWE pay per view Backlash.

While they did not go in-depth to explain their intentions, they mention how Backlash is just the beginning. Fans of Rocket League know, that this is not the first time Psyonix (the developer and publisher) has done something that resembles this. It was just recently, that they released a DLC car present in the Fast and the Furious franchise; which happened to be Vin Diesel’s Ice Charger.

Think about the endless amounts of possibilities for WWE-themed vehicles in Rocket League. Though no offical vehicles have been revealed, the WWE is known for its eccentric cars like  Undertaker’s Herse or Eddie Guerrero’s vintage low-riders. Of course, if they wanted to touch on the current landscape of the company they could go a different direction. Either way, fans of both WWE and Rocket League should be chomping at the bit for the possibilities that await.

Backlash is set to air May 21, 2017 live on the WWE Network. It seems as if fans must wait for this time too, hopefully, learn of the two companies’ intentions.
