Atlus to Localize 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim 1

Atlas announced they will be localizing and releasing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim in the West. The game that was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show in 2015 is being developed by Vanillaware and directed by George Kamitani. Kamitani is known for his work directing games such as Dragon’s Crown and Odin Sphere.

In a departure from Kamitani’s usual work, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is set in the modern era with a giant mecha being a prominent element of the game. Kamitani’s previous works were all fantasy settings, so 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is a drastic change from his previous work.

What has not changed is that 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim carries on with the gorgeous art style that his games are known for. Featuring beautiful 2D character art, 13 Sentinels is set to be just as visually stunning as Dragon’s Crown and Odin Sphere.

Atlus previously localized Odin Sphere Leifthrasir and Dragon’s Crown so it comes as no surprise that they would also do the same for Vanillaware’s newest game.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is set to release on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
