Sennheiser Announces A New Gaming Headset, the GSP 600, 1

Sennheiser, a brand known for high quality audio, announced at CES 2018 the new GSP 600 gaming headset.

Boasting a new speaker system, new ear pad design with deep memory foam and improved aluminum voice coil speaker. Building on the GAME ZERO headset the GSP 600 will come with better overall sound performance, increased comfort and improved durability. As Sennheiser outlines the improvements will “ensure an exceptional audio experience with an increased sub-bass range”

While the GSP 600 may look a bit big, Sennheiser says that it’s ergonomically shaped and provides better fit and feel overall, thanks to new materials, all new ear pad design, and better adjustable headband to customize pressure.

“In the creation of the GSP 600, we took our very best closed gaming headset and made it even better,” explained Andreas Jessen, Head of Product Management Gaming, Sennheiser Communications A/S. “The GAME ZERO broke new ground by building a high quality audio headset that was created entirely around the needs of gamers. With its successor, the GSP 600, we have stayed true to this ethos with a headset that even more perfectly matches the needs of each individual gamer – with an exceptionally comfortable fit that can be tailored to each person, so they can truly become one with the game.”

The GSP 600 also features a boom mic on the side of the headset that can be adjusted with the control wheel, and muted by simply lifting it out of the way. Sennheiser also explain that the while “leatherette is used around the edges of the ear pad, a cooler feeling suede-like material is used around the ear that won’t stick to the skin – even in the heat of the action.”

The GSP 600 will be compatible with PC, Mac, Mobile and Gaming Consoles. It is slated for release at the end of January and will set you back $249.95 or €249.
