Square Enix Hiring Development Team Members for Final Fantasy VII Remake

Square Enix Hiring Development Team Members for Final Fantasy VII Remake 1

Square Enix is searching for level designers, game planners, designers and engineers to assist with the production of their upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.

This news came via a job ad on the Mynavi Corporation website and was spotted and translated by Siliconera. From the translation, it appears that Square Enix is looking to put together a larger core development team in order to improve the remastered game’s quality.

“We’ve come to the conclusion that in order to meet fan expectations we must increase its quality another step higher”, reads the translated posting.”Therefore, in addition to the current members for the Final Fantasy VII Remake development, we must establish a core group that includes level planners, battle planners, designers, engineers, and various types of jobs to tackle on the production of the big title.” One of the contracts on the job website asks for an employee who is able to craft levels and create a battle system that will then be transferred onto the Unreal Engine 4.

As part of the 2017 Square Enix Financial results, Yosuke Matsuda, President and Representative Director of Square Enix, presented the company’s plan for the next several years. Among the list of games that are expected to release in 2018 and beyond, was the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Later on, Game Director Tetsuya Nomura, said that the game, as well as Kingdom Hearts III, “still have a way to go.”

The Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced at E3 2015 and since then, Square Enix has released some early footage and a few trailers. These include famous cutscenes and battles from the first area of the game and are enhanced by the Unreal Engine 4.

The original Final Fantasy VII was released back in 1997 and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, Android, iOS and Microsoft Windows. Since its initial release, the game has built up a massive fan base and is praised as being one of the best Final Fantasy game ever made.
