SteelSeries Acquires Sound Company A-Volute To Bring New Improvements to Audio Products 3

Hardware peripheral company SteelSeries has announced they acquired 3D sound creator A-Volute in an effort to bring improved audio qualities to products.

In a release, SteelSeries hopes to build on A-Volute’s expertise from its flagship Nahimic software within future headsets and drivers for gamers. The sound company’s “150 man-years of research and development,” were cited as shared values for reaching desktop and portable gamers switching to laptops.

“Bringing A-Volute into the SteelSeries family seemed like a natural fit and we are extremely excited about partnering with Tuyen and his team,” said SteelSeries CEO Ehtisham Rabbani. “With their excellence in audio software, they’ll help us improve gamers’ audio experiences even further.”

“Our focus has always been to create outstanding audio experiences, and we could not think of a better partner than SteelSeries.,” said A-Volute CEO Tuyen Pham, adding they were thrilled to join SteelSeries while its audio experiences would expand both teams as they work together for the first time.

In a blog post, SteelSeries also expanded on absorbing subsidy Nahimic in improving 3D sound for the next line of headphones and microphones, starting with their Arctis tools.

“Nahimic’s expertise will benefit us in our efforts with further developing and expanding SteelSeries Engine,” the post wrote.

“You can be excited for greater audio control and customization as our future efforts with Nahimic will help everyone enjoy the Arctis audio experience to the fullest.”
