RIDE 4 Confirmed for Next-Generation Systems in 2021

Motorcycle racing sim RIDE 4 is coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X systems post-launch on January 21, 2021 with a number of graphical surprises and performance for 4K gaming at 60FPS.

In a release, developers Milestone SRL stated RIDE 4 is also cross-buy compatible with PS4 and Xbox One owners. Players can grab themselves a free copy of the next-generation version until April 30, 2021. The game will also transfer all of its purchased DLCs, while Xbox’s Smart Delivery system will be handling the transition automatically for players on the Series X.

Both will showcase more details into RIDE 4‘s high-velocity motorcycle races in notable tracks worldwide, with a solid 60FPS on 4K resolution over compatible TVs. The next-gen enhancements bring over high quality shaders, refined textures and other visual improvements over PS5 and Series X. According to Milestone, the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller will also add some added haptics in its triggers.

“On PS5, RIDE 4 fans will experience the power of the PS5 DualSense advanced haptic feedback, to let players feel their vehicles’ vibrations just like when they ride it on the streets,” Milestone wrote. “Gas and brakes’ levers will have their own resistance to transmit the same feeling of their real-life counterparts.” The new SSD over the PS5 will also reduce load times in between races while it can stream significantly more resources for players.

RIDE 4 is also available for pre-orders, giving PS4 and Xbox One owners a chance to get a special Bonus Pack containing “2 iconic bikes, 5 new events and 1 additional achievement/trophy.” The Special Edition of RIDE 4 includes four iconic bikes, ten events, two added trophies and the ability to play the game three days ahead of launch. PC pre-orderers will get a 10% discount automatically applied to the game price and the Bonus Pack.

The game releases on October 8, 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC via. Steam. The next generation edition comes to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on January 21, 2021.
