Atlus Announces Persona 5 Vinyl Soundtrack 4

Atlus announced they will release the Persona 5 soundtrack on vinyl records later this year.

Atlus is partnering with iam8bit to release the record. Two versions of the soundtrack will be available. The essential edition will come with four vinyl records that contain selected tracks created by the Atlus Sound Team at the price of $100. The deluxe edition will cost $175 and contain the entirety of the Persona 5 soundtrack. The album will come packed with custom album cover art by a secret artist which will be shown later this year by iam8bit. iam8bit will also be documenting the creation process of the albums through videos, photos and interviews.

A soundtrack for Persona 5 was previously made available in the limited “Take Your Heart” premium edition for Persona 5. The soundtrack contained a selection of music from the game on a CD in a CD wallet that featured Persona 5 artwork. Also included in the collection is a plush of the character, Morgana, a bag inspired by the school bag of the main character and a 64-page hardcover artbook. All of this is found in a collectable outer box.

Persona 5 has become a huge success for Atlus on a worldwide scale. Both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game topped sales charts in Japan when the game released in September last year. Combined sales reached over 500 thousand units within a few weeks after its debut, making the company’s best-selling title in Japan. Persona 5 has since topped the charts again after its debut in the west and in Europe. Only two days after the game’s international release, Atlus announced that Persona 5 already sold over 1.5 million units across the PlayStation consoles, marking it as the largest debut of any Persona title.

The Persona 5 vinyl soundtrack is scheduled to launch in time for the holidays this year.
