Rating Listed for Possible Telltale Games Batman Sequel 1

Fans of Batman: The Telltale Series may be in for some good news this week.

A rating on New Zealand’s Film and Video Labelling Body suggests that Telltale’s episodic Batman game series may be getting a second season. The listing refers to a season pass for something called Batman: The Enemy Within. While Telltale Games hasn’t confirmed or denied the possible sequel, the developer did announce on Twitter that there would be upcoming news revealed at San Diego Comic Con. While some fans have been suggesting Telltale’s announcement is to be an additional season of The Wolf Among Us, this is pure speculation.

Released last year, Batman: The Telltale Series is an original point-and-click adventure starring the caped crusader. Players take on the role of both Batman and his alter ego, Bruce Wayne. Similar to other Telltale games, Batman: The Telltale Series offers a branching narrative. Players are able to alter the story through their actions, with decisions they’ve made often affecting later parts of the game’s plot. Telltale’s Batman series introduced a new feature to their games called “Crowd Play”. The feature allows for an audience to watch the game and participate in the decision-making process. The game’s first season is five episodes in total and can be played on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and on mobile devices.

In addition to Batman, Telltale games are hard at work on other comic book adaptations. Earlier this year, Telltale Games announced Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. The game focuses on the titular heroes finding a powerful artifact that they each individually covet, at the same protecting it from an evil entity trying to capture it. Currently, the game’s first two episodes are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC along with Android and IOS.

San Diego Comic Con is taking place between July 20 and July 23. We’ll find out then what Telltale Games has in store.
