Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has been another heavy hitter for the Nintendo Switch’s library, but owners of its $38.69 CAD season pass have been desperately craving new content. Nintendo Japan has just announced that on January 19th, version 1.2.0 will bring fixes and new DLC to Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

While detailed information has not been announced through Nintendo America at the time of writing, Nintendo Japan’s website discusses both new items and story missions being added through said DLC.
The items being added will continue the patterns of previous DLC waves, containing rare crystals, amongst other items that will be useful on your journey. The main drawing aspect of this DLC, however, is the addition of two new story missions. While we are unsure of the length, quality, or content of these story missions, parallels can be drawn to Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Champion’s Ballad DLC, whose review you may read here.
To obtain the latest DLC, players may obtain Xenoblade Chronical 2‘s season pass, which will offer new content until later 2018. The season pass can currently be purchased on the Switch’s eShop.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is Nintendo’s latest open-world JRPG. The game is centred around Rex and his quest to reach the folkloric lands of Elysium. You may find our official review here.
