World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth has launched, and the fight between the Horde and Alliance has never been more intense with the game’s Island Expeditions, recruitment of Allied Races, and new, unlockable powers.

Both factions are waging war against each other to secure their respective futures. While Alliance champions are travelling to Kul Tiras to enlist the aid of the navy, the Horde heads to Zandalar to find allies in the Zandalari trolls. The factions will duke it out for the sake of critical resources in Island Expeditions, as well as unlock new powers using the Heart of Azeroth artifact.

Players of World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth will also have to be prepared for the epic confrontation at the Warfront of Stromgarde, while recruiting Allied Races to help their respective factions.

Battle for Azeroth builds upon nearly 25 years of faction rivalry, history, and pride to challenge World of Warcraft players with the question of what it truly means to be a member of the Alliance or the Horde,” Mike Morhaime, the CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, said.

“This expansion is loaded with new content and features that draw upon that core conflict, but today’s launch is just the beginning — we’re excited for players to experience everything we have planned as the Battle for Azeroth unfolds,” Morhaime added.

While waiting in the queue, World of Warcraft fans can have a listen to the music of Warbringers, an animated series that has so far showcased Jaina Proudmoore and Warchief Sylvanas Windrunner.
