Meanwhile, Dale, has had CGI surgery and works the nostalgia at the convention circuit, desperately trying to relive his glory days. When a former cast mate goes missing, the ritual duo must repair their broken friendship and once again take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas once again to save their friend’s life.
Fans of the series will also be able to listen to the film’s music whenever they want as The Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers Original Soundtrack score by composer Brain Tyler will be released by Walt Disney Records on May 20.
Speaking of Disney+, the streaming service has seen a big boom in viewers as its subscriber count reached nearly 74 million in 2020. This has forced its rivals like Netflix to adopt controversial measures like limiting the number of households that can share an account and restricting password sharing among families. However, Disney’s numbers have flat lined as the world learns to live with COVID-19 and more places start to open up. Only time will tell whether this new Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers adventure will be enough to bring that viewership back or not.
