OnePlus 10T Specs Revealed in New York Today 4

Today in New York, OnePlus held their first in-person event since 2019 to launch the OnePlus 10T, revealing its specs and the new OxygenOS 13.

As we mentioned earlier this week, OnePlus invited media and users to attend an event at Gotham Hall in New York today to unveil their second flagship device of 2022, the OnePlus 10T. Powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile, it offers “3.2GHz peak CPU speeds with 30% improved CPU power efficiency.” The Qualcomm Adreno GPU will bring 10% faster GPU clock speeds and support for HDR gaming, making this device shine for mobile gamers. You’ll also find a 4th Gen Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF System supporting 5G speeds of up to 10GBps, plus more networks, frequencies and bandwidths world-wide.

OnePlus users may notice that the alert slider is missing from the OnePlus 10T. The company understands that this has been a staple for their devices since the 3T, but this evolution required a trade-off. This loss provided the space within the device to add “new, meaningful technologies that deliver key advancements to the OnePlus experience while maintaining a thin and light form factor.”

The company also noted,

“Our product team plans to overcome this technical and design challenge in future devices
so we can deliver improved technologies while retaining our signature alert slider. While
the OnePlus 10T does not have the alert slider, this does not mean it will be removed from
all future OnePlus devices.”

The new flagship device boasts 125W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition charging, bringing a day’s power in just 10 minutes of charging. The OnePlus 10t can be charged from 1-100% in just 20 minutes—powerful charging for any mobile gamers’ needs. Its 4,800 mAh Dual-Cell 7C Battery allows for these fast charging speeds, without the worry for damaging the phones longevity in the process.

The OnePlus 10T Pushes Mobile Gaming to the Next Level

To further push the OnePlus 10T, you’ll find up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 two-lane storage, able to support up to 35 applications at once. Something that further pushes the 10T to the forefront of mobile gaming is its 3D Cooling System, which is OnePlus’ most advanced yet. Inside, you’ll find a cyro-velocity vapour chamber with 8 dissipation channels. Together, these give twice the dissipation ability of regular smartphone vapour chambers. On top of that, there is 50% improved heat dissipation created by the 3D graphite that is used in place of regular graphite.

Mobile gamers will find that the HyperBoost Gaming Engine covers three important features on the OnePlus 10T: The General Performance Adapter (GPA) Frame Stabilizer, GPU Load Control (GLC) and LSTouch.

The GPA Frame Stabilizer is meant to reduce frame rate fluctuations, making a smoother, more stable gaming experience possible. The GLC is there to improve the graphics rendering efficiency and power consumption during mobile play. Working alongside the 10T’s 1000Hz instant touch sampling rate, the LSTouch works to improve gaming responsiveness.

All of this combined with its 6.7-inch FHD+ display and 120Hz refresh rate, plus a peak brightness of 950 nits makes up the perfect device to jump into Diablo Immortal, or even Fortnite while on the go. The display also features an adjustable refresh rate between 120Hz and 90Hz to save battery when needed.

Though OnePlus has announced the OxygenOS 13, the OnePlus 10T comes loaded with OxygenOS 12.1, with three major android updates and four years of security updates to look forward to.

OnePlus 10T Camera Specs

The OnePlus 10T features a rear triple camera system with the 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, allowing clear shots, rich detail and low light functionality, in combination with its large 1/1.56 sensor. An 8 MP ultra-wide camera with a 119.9 degree field of view and a 2 MP macro camera accompanies the Sony IMX766 as well.

When pressing the OnePlus 10T shutter, the OnePlus Image Clarity Engine (ICE) 2.0 allows faster photo capture by taking tens of photos and selecting the best one in the end. This is expected to be faster than past devices. The device also features Nightscape 2.0 for low-light capture and Super HDR for better high-contrast photos.

In addition to the OnePlus 10T, the company will be launching the SuperVOOC 80W Car Charger. This will be sold on OnePlus.com beginning next month on September 1st for $39. As we know from the OnePlus 10T, SUPERVOOC is fast-charging technology developed by OPPO in 2014. This will be the first car charger to use the technology, and is the first time OnePlus has used the technology in something other than smartphones. With one USB-C and one USB-A port, the SuperVOOC 80W Car Charger will allow up to 80W charging for OnePlus devices but only allows PD charging up to 30W, but is fully compatible with non-OnePlus devices, even your laptop.

More good news for OnePlus fans, the company will be offering early access for those looking to purchase the OnePlus 10T. On August 3-6, 10-13, 17-20, and 24-27 on OnePlus.com the phone will be available for early access purchase. Those who do so during early access will also receive 0% APR with 24-month instalments, a free case, and 50% off protection plan and OnePlus IoT products. Buyers who take advantage of this pre-sale will also receive a free upgrade to 16 GB RAM and 256 GB storage for $649.
