Hush is the latest agent coming to VALORANT next week, following her reveal at the Champions Shanghai Grand Finals this past weekend.
Miks is no longer the newest agent in VALORANT. As Team Vitality and Team LOUD duked it out at the VALORANT Champions Shanghai Grand Finals, Riot Games unveiled the game’s upcoming 31st agent, Hush. She is a telekinetic Duelist from China and is expected to become playable on October 27, when Act VI launches. But as many VALORANT players are already asking: is she broken?
So far, Hush looks like she could have a massive impact on matches. While we have not yet had the chance to go hands-on with her abilities, her passive alone has the potential to shift the outcome of a round. You would expect powerful abilities from a Duelist, but this takes things to another level. The fact that she can grab weapons from behind cover is wild! Here is a breakdown of her abilities, as described by the developers:
Telekinesis (Passive)
● Hush can pick up weapons, the Spike, and INTERACT with switches from an increased range.
Displacement (E)
● EQUIP Displacement. FIRE to throw. ALT FIRE to prepare it instead. REACTIVATE to direct it
towards your crosshair. Explodes on any surface or after a delay, pulling all players towards the
center and concussing them if they collide with any surface or another player. Resets every two
kills.
Flashbulb (Q)
● EQUIP Flashbulb. FIRE to throw. ALT FIRE to prepare it instead. REACTIVATE to direct it
towards your crosshair. Explodes on any surface or after a delay, flashing all players looking at it.
Flow (C)
● INSTANTLY create an anchor. If Hush is in the air, briefly levitate in place. After a delay, propel
towards it.
ULTIMATE: Suspension (X)
● INSTANTLY prepare Suspension. FIRE to send it forward, steering with your crosshair.
REACTIVATE or press FIRE again to detonate, levitating all players.
Displacement is integral to Hush’s kit, essentially functioning as a concussion grenade of sorts. While activating its concussive effect on enemies takes some skill, Displacement resets after every two kills, much like many other agents’ signature E abilities. Flashbulb is somewhat similar to Skye’s flashes, although the description is unclear on whether players can activate it manually or if it only detonates upon contact with a surface or after its mid-air delay timer expires. Flow is particularly interesting because it has been a while since VALORANT introduced an agent who adds new vertical movement options. Jett and Raze have been the usual suspects when it comes to Duelists offering that kind of mobility.
As for Hush’s Ultimate ability, Suspension, this could be a deadly combination with Displacement. When paired with other agents’ abilities, I could see enemy players getting frustrated when Tejo’s rockets land just as Suspension’s effects wear off. I imagine the developers would restrict how certain projectiles deal damage to levitating enemies, aside from regular bullets, but I could still see players exploiting specific timings. A Brimstone Ultimate could also easily turn the area into a blender if multiple enemies are caught in Suspension. I could even see this becoming a way to delay Spike plants or defuses, depending on how long the levitation lasts and whether it prevents agents from planting or defusing.
So far, it seems that Nicholas Smith, game designer for agents and weapons on VALORANT, intended to create a Duelist who rewards players for getting creative with Hush’s abilities. Apparently, there is also a lot more room for redirection when using her abilities, opening up some interesting possibilities during combat. Beyond Hush’s practical abilities, her character design is also very cool.

Apparently, Hush is supposed to be a bit of a weirdo and an intellectual, but her fashion sense feels relatable to teens and young adults. I personally love the bubblegum pink-and-black aesthetic the developers created for her. There is a BLACKPINK joke somewhere in there. She also has some witchy vibes, particularly with her bracelet, which appears to be the source of her telekinetic abilities. It’s a perfect look for October.
Hush is also the first agent to release since the introduction of the new Agent Mastery system. Be sure to check out her reward track in-game for the full list of unlocks.
