Dispatch Celebrates Its First Anniversary With Massive Content Drop

Behind The Scenes

Nintendo Releases Statement About Dispatch's Censorship on Switch

It’s hard to believe it’s been a full year since AdHoc Studios’ superhero workplace comedy Dispatch debuted to rave reviews. To celebrate this milestone, the studio has announced a serious update.

In a press release, AdHoc Studios said, “It’s Dispatch’s first anniversary, which means it’s time to f*cking party!” As a way of thanking players for helping the game become a critical and commercial success, the studio is releasing a free update to the Deluxe Edition featuring two new behind-the-scenes modes: Commentary and Storyboard. In addition to this, AdHoc also announced a mobile release for Android and iOS, new merch, a live concert in Los Angeles featuring songs from Dispatch, and more.

Commentary Mode lets players revisit Dispatch alongside the people who created this superhero workplace comedy. Two tracks feature either the cast or crew sharing their perspective across every episode, with different choices unlocking different commentary—including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Erin Yvette, and more. Storyboard Mode allows players to experience the game with its original storyboard animatics, revealing how a cinematic narrative game is built from the ground up. Players can also enable both modes at the same time for a truly eye-opening playthrough.

In addition to this, Dispatch will launch for mobile on December 9, 2026. The mobile version includes the base game, rebuilt for touch and vertical play. At launch, players will be able to access the first four episodes for free and unlock the full mobile release for $19.99 USD. Not only that, but a new merch collection featuring the four comics that were only available digitally, now reprinted physically with individual covers that join together to form an epic battle scene. The collection also features shirts, hoodies and a signed poster collection featuring artwork by Dispatch Art Director Derek Stratton.

Lastly, for one night only on Thursday, December 3, AdHoc Studio and Banter Events are bringing the music of Dispatch to Los Angeles, live at AVALON Hollywood. Composer Andrew Arcadi and the SDN Company Band take the stage alongside THOT SQUAD, Bershy, Primer, Caroline Kingsbury, and Fartbarf, for a night of songs straight from the game. Tickets are extremely limited and available to AdHoc Studio email subscribers first before opening up to the public.

Dispatch Full Series (PC) Review

“Dispatch was only possible because of folks who believed in it enough to show up and do their best work. In our industry, it’s often really hard to showcase those people and how the development process actually works, but fortunately our game is very weird and specific and affords us some unique opportunities,” said Co-Creative Director on Dispatch and COO of AdHoc Studio, Nick Herman.

He continued, “So for the fans who made Dispatch a part of their lives, we wanted to give them more ways to experience the world they love, whether that’s playing alongside the cast and crew, experiencing the entire game in its original storyboards, or hanging out together IRL at the wildest version of a Dispatch concert our finance team would sign off on.”

Dispatch initially launched on October 22nd, 2025, as an eight-episode narrative game—releasing two episodes every week until November 12th. I reviewed the game for CGMagazine, saying it was “an incredible narrative experience wrapped around an idea so good that it could stand alone as its own game.”
