The Gadgets That Stole the Show in Barcelona

Best of MWC 2026

Descending on Barcelona, Spain, Mobile World Congress (MWC) brings together the best of mobile technology from across the globe. It showcases the most innovative devices many of us will see in our homes and pockets over the next few months. The show features a wide range of products, from incredibly useful tools to near science fiction, pushing the boundaries of mobile computing.

MWC 2026 had its share of exciting announcements, and it was a tough year to narrow our selections to just 10. We made sure to highlight some of the most unique offerings we simply could not ignore. From incredibly powerful tablets and new foldable phones to concept devices that blur the lines between what a phone even is, this has been a year to remember. While we may have to wait before getting our hands on some of this tech, this list, without question, defines this year’s showcase and highlights what is possible with mobile technology in 2026.

Huawei Mate X7

Best Of Mwc 2026

Without question, one of the most exciting phones at MWC 2026 was Huawei’s Mate X7. This phone feels like a foldable built for people who do not want to worry about their phone. The eight-inch LTPO OLED main display unfolds into a compact tablet, while a 6.49-inch cover screen with Kunlun Glass 2 handles quick tasks when the device is closed. Both panels run at 120 Hz with high peak brightness, so scrolling, games, and video look smooth and snappy. Huawei backs that up with IP58 and IP59 dust and water resistance ratings, as well as an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, aiming to make this slim foldable less fragile in day-to-day use.

Inside, the Kirin 9030 Pro and up to 20 GB of RAM keep EMUI 15 or HarmonyOS 6.0 running quickly, with UFS 4.x storage options that reach 1 TB for heavy users. On the back, a triple-camera setup leads with a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical stabilization, joined by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and a 40-megapixel ultra-wide lens for more flexible framing. A battery rated at just over 5,500 mAh supports 66-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging, along with reverse wired and wireless charging for accessories, making the Mate X7 one of the more self-contained foldables on the MWC show floor this year.

Huawei Matepad Edge

Best Of Mwc 2026

Huawei seems determined to change the conversation about “what is a computer?” at MWC 2026 with the MatePad Edge, which features hardware specs that blur the line between tablet and desktop computing. First and foremost, the MatePad Edge is a stunning device, centred on its massive 14.2-inch flexible OLED display, running at 3.1K resolution with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate.

While it looks exciting, what really makes this tablet stand out is the battery that fits in its svelte frame: a 12,900 mAh unit that supports 140-watt fast charging. That is laptop territory, and it gives the device an incredibly long-lasting mobile computer experience ready for real-world tasks. The top-tier Liquid Cooling Edition takes things further with dual fans, twin vapour chambers, and graphene cooling layers, designed to maintain sustained performance without throttling.

The MatePad Edge runs HarmonyOS 5.1, which switches to a full desktop mode with a simple four-finger gesture. Paired with the Starry Leap Floating Keyboard, which includes a 65-watt charging port and a hidden stylus slot, the tablet transforms into a legitimate workstation. Colour accuracy is below Delta E 1, making it viable for creative professionals who need precision. For people who are always on the go, the Huawei MatePad Edge is a mobile computing device that aims to do it all while still looking amazing, and at MWC 2026, it is a fantastic offering well worth our Best of Award.

OUKITEL WP63 Rugged Smartphone

Best Of Mwc 2026

It is amazing to see how far rugged smartphones have come, and the OUKITEL WP63 showcased at MWC 2026 takes the concept to a whole new level. The OUKITEL WP63 packs a massive 20,000 mAh battery that can run for days on a single charge, making it ideal for anyone who spends time far from power outlets. What really caught our attention at MWC 2026, however, is what OUKITEL managed to fit into the device, making it something truly extraordinary.

The WP63 includes a built-in electronic igniter controlled through an app, effectively turning your phone into a fire starter for camping or emergency situations. It also doubles as an 18-watt power bank with a built-in USB-C cable, so you can charge other devices without carrying extra gear. The 6.7-inch display runs at a smooth 120 Hz, and there is a loudspeaker and built-in camping light for outdoor use. Powered by the Unisoc T8200 chipset and supporting 33-watt fast charging, the WP63 handles everything from navigation to streaming while standing up to drops, dust and water.

TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro

Best Of Mwc 2026

We first saw the new TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro at CES 2026, and now at MWC 2026, we finally have more details about when the phone will launch globally. We could not be more excited. The NXTPAPER 70 Pro features a massive 6.9-inch FHD+ display that runs at 120 Hz for smooth, responsive visuals.

Yet it is the NXTPAPER Key that truly makes this smartphone stand out. It is a physical button that lets you instantly switch between Colour Paper mode for everyday use, Ink Paper mode for reading and Max Ink mode for extended battery life. TCL claims the phone can last up to seven days in Max Ink mode, which is a big deal for anyone tired of daily charging. The phone also supports a T-Pen stylus for note-taking and drawing, and it packs AI-powered tools like AI Outline and AI Audiobook for productivity on the move. TCL keeps innovating and offering fantastic value for the money, and at MWC 2026, it is one to look out for.

Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni C28

Best Of Mwc 2026

Eufy brought something fresh to MWC 2026 with the Robot Vacuum Omni C28, tackling two problems that drive pet owners crazy. The first is wet messes. The C28’s HydroJet technology uses a self-cleaning roller mop that is 27 centimetres long and features 24 water ports that clean in real time. It applies 10 newtons of downward force, so paw prints and spills actually get washed away instead of smeared across the floor. The second headache it solves is tangled hair. Anyone with long-haired pets knows the nightmare of having to cut hair out of vacuum brushes every week.

Eufy’s DuoSpiral detangle brush technology handles hair up to 50 centimetres long without wrapping or clogging. The dual spiralling brushes gather and guide hair straight into the suction path. Add in 15,000 Pa of suction power and smart navigation that learns your home’s layout, and you have a vacuum that finally understands what real homes with real pets actually need. The all-in-one station handles the dirty work automatically, washing the mop after each cleaning session.

Nothing Phone (4a)

Best Of Mwc 2026

Nothing has never been shy about making a scene, and MWC 2026 was no different. The company unveiled the Phone (4a) colour lineup from inside a graffiti-covered shipping container on the show floor, giving attendees a peek at four distinct finishes: black, white, pink and blue. The black and white options stick to a familiar look, while the pink and blue models stand out with tinted-glass backs and silver accent details underneath. It all ties into what Nothing calls a “refreshingly normal” design, a cleaner, more pared-back approach compared with past models.

This time around, the Phone (4a) swaps the rear display for a new Glyph Bar, keeping things streamlined without losing that signature Nothing flair. The Phone (4a) Pro, meanwhile, remains a mystery, with no design leaks or previews to speak of. Nothing is set to fully launch the Phone (4a) series later this week in London, and we are excited to get a closer look at everything it has to offer. Nothing keeps innovating in new ways, and I have to say, at MWC 2026, these are some of the most unique-looking phones on display!

Vivo X300 Ultra

Best Of Mwc 2026

Vivo did not officially unveil the X300 Ultra at MWC 2026, but it did something even more unique and exciting for anyone who loves content creation using their smartphone. The company showed off the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, a 400 mm add-on lens built specifically for the phone, and in doing so confirmed the handset is real and headed to global markets for the first time.

The telephoto extender, co-engineered with ZEISS, is the only 400 mm option of its kind in the smartphone space. It supports up to 200-megapixel optical output, packs gimbal-grade optical image stabilization, and, according to Vivo, can still deliver clean results even when pushed to a 1,600 mm digital crop. Alongside the lens, Vivo also showed a pro-grade camera cage with physical shutter and zoom buttons, cold-shoe mounts and a built-in cooling fan for longer video shoots.

We have seen phone makers chase camera specifications for years, but Vivo is going a step further by building out an entire accessory ecosystem around the X300 Ultra. That level of commitment to mobile photography earned it a spot on our Best of MWC 2026 list and on our personal wish lists for our own collections.

Motorola Razr Fold

Best Of Mwc 2026

Motorola has been making waves with its flip-style Razr phones for a few years now, but MWC 2026 marked a big step in a new direction. Motorola gave a deeper look at one of the phones we are most excited to try in 2026. The Razr Fold is the company’s first book-style foldable. Its 8.1-inch main display reaches a peak brightness of 6,200 nits, while the outer screen is not far behind at 6,000 nits. Both are well ahead of anything else in the foldable space right now.

Under the hood, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 keeps things running smoothly, paired with a liquid-cooling system for heavy tasks and gaming. Motorola also packed in a 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is impressive given how slim the device remains at just 4.6 mm when unfolded. The camera setup is stacked, too, with five lenses in total, headlined by a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto that reaches up to 100x SuperZoom. Add stylus support with the new Moto Pen Ultra, and Motorola clearly built this device to go toe-to-toe with the biggest names in foldables. Pricing has not been announced, but it is headed to North America in the coming months.

Tecno Modular Concept Phone

Best Of Mwc 2026

Tecno brought one of the wildest ideas to MWC 2026: a modular smartphone that starts as a bare-bones slab just 4.9 mm thin. On its own, it has a screen, a basic camera and four pogo-pin connectors. From there, you snap on whatever you need. Want a massive telephoto lens with up to 20x zoom and manual focus? Done. Need an ultra-wide camera, an action cam or even a fold-out antenna that turns it into a walkie-talkie? Those exist too. The modules connect through magnets and pins, with data passed over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or mmWave, depending on the attachment.

There is no USB-C port on the phone itself, so even charging is handled by a snap-on module. Battery packs can be stacked on the back, topping out at around 10,000 mAh across three add-ons. Tecno had most of the modules working on the show floor in two colourways, which is impressive for a concept device. Modular phones have a rough track record. Google’s Project Ara and Motorola’s Moto Mods both fizzled out. Still, the sheer fun of swapping parts on the fly made this one hard to walk away from.

RayNeo Air 4 Pro

Best Of Mwc 2026

RayNeo showed up to MWC 2026 with a striking new AR headset that is a sight to behold, and yes, it even comes in a Batman edition for some reason. The RayNeo Air 4 Pro builds on the company’s growing lineup of AR eyewear with a pair of Sony Micro-OLED displays that deliver a sharp, vivid picture right in front of your eyes. The frames are lightweight and comfortable enough to wear for long stretches, which matters when you are watching movies or gaming on the go, especially on long transatlantic flights.

What is exciting for people who have been sitting on the fence about AR glasses is that RayNeo has noticeably increased the brightness over previous models. Colour accuracy also appears to have received attention with this release. The Batman edition adds a fun collector’s twist with themed design touches, but the real star is the core experience. For anyone who wants a portable big-screen setup without hauling a monitor around, the Air 4 Pro makes a strong case. It earns a spot on our Best of MWC 2026 list and stands out as one of the more exciting wearables set to reach consumers in 2026.
