This October, fans of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World will get to re-immerse themselves in a world of dinosaurs that they get to build from the ground up in Jurassic World Evolution 3, a builder/simulator game that puts you in the middle of your own Jurassic Park, but hopefully one with less tragedy than the ones we’ve seen in the movies.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Jurassic World Evolution 3 sets you up in locations all over the world with the purpose of building a new dino-preservation park for people from all over to celebrate life finding a way. The game continues from the events of the 2022 film, Jurassic World: Dominion, where dinosaurs are once again found in the wild. You and your team need to build facilities, bring in the dinosaurs and nurture them to give them their best lives for the sake of your park’s visitors.

The creative tools for building your park in Jurassic World Evolution 3 are off the charts compared to the previous games, with natural materials becoming a much bigger part of your building arsenal in this game. Using rock formations and cliffs instead of fences not only give you a more aesthetically pleasing park, they are not something that needs maintenance like an electric fence. They can also be fashioned with ramps so that the staff that needs to access the inside of the enclosures can continue to do so.
The tools for building natural elements in Jurassic World Evolution 3 help make incredibly unique environments, building vistas and shaping waterfalls, even digging out deeper water features for your dinosaurs to swim in and become a source of naturally occurring food in the form of fish that you will not need to make sure is constantly replenished.

Building facilities, hotels, and any number of relevant structures for your park has opened up in a big way as well in Jurassic World Evolution 3. You can choose from a huge amount of pre-designed buildings, many familiar to Jurassic Park fans, but you can customize buildings in any number of ways, as well as build from the foundation up. Every wall, roof, glass panel and decoration can be selected and placed as needed. Think Minecraft with realistic materials.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 also lets you be proactive and not just reactive with some features that can prove to be an ounce of prevention. Build maintenance facilities and staff them so that you can get ahead of repairing fences, refueling generators and delivering supplies where needed. Security cameras can be strategically placed in animal paddocks so that you can keep an eye on the dinos and the areas that may need the most service based on how the animals treat their paddocks.
And what is Jurassic World without a little human intervention? You can capture your dinos out in the wild and drop them in their new homes, but you can also go down a road no Jurassic Park scientist has before: bringing males into the mix. You’ll be able to engineer male dinosaurs, something that original Jurassic Park scientists would warn against and introduce them into what used to be an all-female environment. This gives you a wider variety of looks (since male and female dinos often look different), but also, babies!

You can now build nests in your enclosures and encourage your dinosaurs to mate. You still have a hand in the breeding, though, picking the best stock to breed and even pre-visualizing what the juveniles will look like, right down to the unique skin patterns that you will find in Jurassic World Evolution 3. For the first time, you’ll be able to populate your park naturally, making your park look like it could actually be the real thing.

While Jurassic World Evolution 3 makes for a great sandbox game, there is also a narrative structure, complete with pre-determined scenarios and a wide variety of characters, including the famed chaotician, Dr. Ian Malcolm, voiced by the one and only Jeff Goldblum. Following these storylines is a great way to learn the game and understand how to make a park work as a whole, but also gives you a series of unique challenges to take on as you play the game.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 releases on October 21, 2025 and promises to be a fun, fresh experience and the most fully fleshed-out simulation games of its kind. It has a level of beauty, variety and unique playing experience that will not only be a welcome third installment for fans of the series, but a great first experience for newcomers.
