Biomutant

Biomutant is a quirky action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world where mutated animals have taken over. You play as a customizable furry critter on a mission to save (or doom) the Tree of Life. The game blends martial arts combat, gunplay, and special abilities as you explore a colourful open world.

Crafting plays a big role, letting you cobble together wacky weapons and gear from scavenged parts. There’s also a morality system tied to different animal tribes you can ally with or fight against. The story unfolds through an omnipresent narrator who provides a whimsical tone.

While Biomutant packs in loads of systems and ideas, some feel underdeveloped. The combat can be fun but repetitive, and the world, though visually striking, can feel a bit empty at times. Still, there’s an undeniable charm to its furry post-apocalyptic setting and kitchen-sink approach to gameplay mechanics.

For players who don’t mind some rough edges, Biomutant offers a unique world to get lost in with its mutant critters and oddball humour. Just don’t expect the depth or polish of bigger-budget RPGs.
