Cities: Skylines (PS4) Review - Sky’s The Limit 1

Cities: Skylines

Summary

Cities: Skylines is a city-building game that puts you in the mayor’s seat. You start with a small patch of land and a dream, then watch as your town grows into a sprawling metropolis. The game gives you all the tools you need to plan and build your ideal city from the ground up.

You’ll lay down roads, zone areas for homes and businesses, and make sure everyone has power and water. As your city expands, you’ll tackle bigger challenges like managing traffic, providing public transit, and keeping your citizens happy. There’s a lot to juggle, but the game does a great job of easing you in.

What makes Cities: Skylines special is how detailed and realistic it feels. You can zoom right down to street level and watch your little citizens go about their daily lives. The simulation runs deep, modelling everything from individual vehicles to the flow of sewage.

The game really shines when it comes to customization. There are tons of building styles to choose from, and you can even download mods to add new content. Whether you want to recreate your hometown or build a futuristic utopia, the possibilities are endless.

Cities: Skylines strikes a nice balance between accessibility and depth. It’s easy to pick up, but there’s always something new to learn or optimize. If you’ve ever dreamed of designing your own city, this game lets you live out that fantasy.
