Stormgate is shaping up to be an exciting new entry in the real-time strategy genre. Developed by Frost Giant Studios, a team composed of industry veterans who previously worked on iconic titles like StarCraft II and Warcraft III, this free-to-play game aims to blend classic RTS mechanics with modern innovations.

Set in a science fantasy universe, Stormgate takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth where humanity fights for survival against alien invaders. Players can choose from three factions: the human Vanguard, the demonic Infernal Host, and the technologically advanced Celestial Armada. Each faction offers unique units, abilities, and playstyles to master.

The game promises a rich single-player campaign that will evolve over time, as well as cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. A standout feature is the 3-player cooperative mode, allowing friends to team up against AI opponents or tackle campaign missions together. For competitive players, Stormgate offers traditional 1v1 matches and an innovative 3v3 team mode.

Frost Giant Studios is putting a strong emphasis on accessibility for newcomers while maintaining the depth that RTS veterans crave.
