Uncover Its Secrets

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Guide: Stone-Sheated Sword Location

In Elden Ring‘s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, players are introduced to over 100 new weapons, each with its unique attributes and abilities. Among these, one of the more elusive and powerful weapons is the Stone-Sheathed Sword. This sword stands out due to its unique design, being encased in stone, and offers you a formidable blunt force weapon ready to take on the many challenges of the expansion.

What makes the Stone-Sheathed Sword particularly special is its unique Ash of War ability, known as Square-off. This ability grants the player a powerful upward slash, which is especially effective against rock-based enemies. This makes it an excellent choice for encounters in areas like Taylew’s Ruined Forge, where such enemies are commonly found. Finding and mastering this sword can give players a significant advantage in their battles throughout the game.

Starting at the Church of the Bud Site of Grace, begin your journey by heading down the path through the rot-infested ruins. Be sure to veer left while riding Torrent to avoid the dangerous shrimpy sentries lurking in the area. Once you reach a safe spot outside and are no longer being pursued, take a moment to look towards the horizon. You should see a distant tower just beyond the jumping range.

To reach the tower, you can either throw Rainbow Stones, as demonstrated in my video or use Rune Fragments to mark the path across the chasm. By carefully following the trail you create, you will eventually uncover an invisible path leading you directly to the tower, where you can claim your well-deserved prize and enjoy all the Stone-Sheathed Sword can bring to your playthrough.
