Bandai Namco announced today that Ace Combat Infinity takes flight exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on May 27.
The latest instalment in the popular series will feature an all-new campaign where in a near future setting where meteors have almost destroyed the earth and giant guns protect humans from the falling debris. There will also be a co-op and a competitive mode. Bandai Namco also plans to have a player versus player mode tacked on by launch.
The game was originally set for a 2013 release, but delays have pushed it back. Since then there has been an open beta, but that is now closed.
