LilliLandia Games, a studio working under Tencent Games, has announced that it will launch the first alpha playtest of its new life-sim game, Animula Nook.

Animula Nook’s alpha playtest is set for an air date of March 19th, 2026 and is debuting as a cozy PC only game. In the game itself, players will take control of a miniature person that they will get to customize the appearance of, and also change up the designs of their homes and certain NPC elements. It’s meant to be a first taste at the gameplay mechanics that Animula Nook offers.

One of the main draws of the alpha play test is the new areas; in addition to the new Balcony area, there is also the Wupa Woods. The balcony is meant to serve as a further expansion of the players homestead, where they can build and plant to their hearts content under open skies. Exploring the Wupa Woods looks like it’s meant to be a major part of the alpha; it’s the first area the player can explore after all. In the woods, players can find materials like petals, spider silk, mushrooms, and bottled sunlight, all presumably used for building, NPCs, and customization.

Being so small its natural to think that it may be a lonely experience, so its a good thing that there are 50 different Minies, the original inhabitants of Minietopia. The player can meet these characters along the way through methods like cooking, dancing, and performing. There are over 500 outfits and furniture items included with the Minies in the alpha, all waiting to be seen.

“This is an invitation to Minietopia, welcoming all gamers to become the first residents and take part in Animula Nook’s early Alpha,” the Animula Nook Development Team shared, “Players can explore the miniature world, create their own neighbourhoods, and help grow a vibrant in-game community as the world begins to take shape. It’s time to discover its tiny wonders and start building this little world together.”

6.3 million people registered to play Animula Nook after the developers opened playtest registration in February 2026. Alongside the hype for the playtest, players can enjoy Minietopia another way through a unique Arrival Card Event, with chances to win Alpha Test Access, exclusive merchandise, and more. Taking place exclusively on PC, sign-ups are still open until March 15th, 2026. Get in fast if this miniature world is just too irresistible.
