Apple has announced that its gaming service, Apple Arcade, will be getting a few new indie gems this month.
The newest addition to the Arcade is the award-winning indie game, Dredge+. Dredge+ actually won the App Store Awards’ iPad Game of the Year in 2025, which made it a perfect candidate to be added to the Arcade. The IOS standard version will come with all the DLC, including The Pale Reach, The Iron Rig, Blackstone Key, and the custom rod. Dredge+ is coming to the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Mac on April 2nd, 2026.

Next in the lineup is another indie masterpiece, Unpacking+. Following the life of a girl turning into a woman, Unpacking+ tells a life story through environmental storytelling. For instance, while the game starts with organizing plushies, it inevitably ends up with the only available space for her degree being underneath the bed in her new fiancé’s house. Brutal. Heartbreaking story aside, Unpacking+ is also a devilishly clever puzzle game with a gameplay loop focused on unpacking a room’s worth of stuff while not just throwing it wherever the eye can see. Unpacking+ is hitting the app store on April 2nd as well.

I’m sure we all have some memory of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which is good news because My Very Hungry Caterpillar+ is also coming to Apple Arcade. Releasing once again on April 2nd, My Very Hungry Caterpillar+ lets you care for your own personal caterpillar pet. Similar but different from the classic Tamagotchi, players can feed, play with, and explore the world of our caterpillar friend. In return for doing so, your caterpillar pet will grow bigger and unlock more activities to enjoy in the app, eventually spinning a cocoon and transforming into a beautiful butterfly.
Alongside these new releases are some special events exclusive to Apple Arcade. One of them includes a Star Wars crossover on Disney SpellStruck, which is set for a March 19th release. If you want more details on these games, then check out the App Store listings or the Apple Newsroom.
