On Thursday, Apple announced their streaming service Apple TV+ is coming to Prime Video Canada, Australia and the UK following its successful US launch on the platform.
Starting today, Apple TV+ can be tacked onto Prime Video accounts as an add-on subscription in Canada, Australia, and the UK following a successful launch in the United States. This means fans can access both their Apple content and Prime Video content from one app on Prime Video, for an additional $12.99 a month in Canada and Australia, and £8.99 a month in the U.K. There’s virtually no difference between accessing content this way, and with Apple through Prime, fans can expect similar app functionality than if the app was accessed alone.
Apple TV+ joins a large list of content subscriptions that can be added through Prime Video Canada and the ranks include Sportsnet, TSN, Paramount+, Crave, CityTV+, STARZ, AMC+, Super Channel, BritBox, Hayu, STACKTV, and more.

Head of Marketplace Prime Video Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, Daniel Slepak said “Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering a wide selection of premium programming including Amazon MGM Studios Originals, live sports, licensed movies and series, the ability to rent or buy thousands of new and popular movies,” including “The addition of Apple TV+ and its popular and critically acclaimed shows, films and events will no doubt delight our customers and unlock even more content” regarding the new accessibility.

The Vice President of International Prime Video, Kelly Day agrees, and has said “We’re delighted to continue to roll out Apple TV+ on Prime Video with the launches in the U.K., Canada and Australia, bringing Prime Video customers an even greater selection of TV shows and films, all in one app experience.”
With this move, it appears Prime Video is attempting to give viewers a one-stop shop for all of their streaming services, without having to go through another ‘password enter’ screen beforehand. Once an account is linked through Prime Video, Apple TV+ and all of its content can be accessed without ever having to leave the Prime Video app.
