Final Astro Bot DLC Cameos Have Been Revealed, With Credits That Tease More VIPs

On Thursday, the last bit of free Astro Bot DLC was released by Team ASOBI, but the title’s credits were recently updated to include cameos of bots that haven’t debuted yet.

The last of five DLC packages released today for the Team ASOBI platformer, Astro Bot, and with the new DLC fans have noticed that there have been cameos added to the credits screen that weren’t there before the final DLC was launched. Each of the former DLC speed run stages includes new cameo Astro Bots for fans to snag, but the credits list new bots that haven’t been featured in the DLC stages or the base game. While this is the final DLC scheduled for Team ASOBI’s hit platformer, the end credits suggest that more VIP bots are coming to the title.

Previously, the Astro Bot credits only included four properties that have yet to be introduced into the VIP bot ecosystem according to the credits. While the latest DLC stage allows fans to earn Resident Evil‘s Wesker and Destiny 2‘s Cayde-6 in VIP form, the credits have listed Rayman, Beyond Good & Evil, Assassin’s Creed and Croc: Legend of the Gobbos which have all been confirmed not to have cameo bots in the title, yet. This is different from fans noticing Final Fantasy VIPs have been missing in action, as these licenses are included in the credits.

Today, fans have noticed another title has joined the list of VIP bots yet to appear in-game, and according to VGC and the Astro Bot sub-Reddit, that title is Tomba! Special Edition as it appears in the credits. It appears before Team Asobi gives fans a message “And now for the final stretch, let’s go!” Team Asobi could be timing these character releases with their own licenses though, considering Assassin’s Creed Shadows was delayed until February 14, it’s possible the Astro Bot counterparts will launch at the same time (or around) the launch of the official title.

While the final piece of DLC has launched for Astro Bot, fans may be getting more VIP bots to collect in the future, or another piece of DLC to tie the licenses together.
