Awesome Indies Show at gamescom 2025: Everything Announced!

As gamescom 2025 marches on, the next big showcase after the Future Games Show is the Awesome Indies Showcase, and here are all of the big reveals and trailers.

As fast as gamescom 2025 entered the scene with Opening Night Live 2025, reveals and showcases have followed. The Future Games Show has launched more reveals and premieres, with more exclusives currently dominating the internet. While giving players a good look at what’s to come for the next year in gaming and beyond, gamescom 2025 has been home to announcements that will launch in the coming weeks, like the shocking release date reveal of Hollow Knight: Silksong.

From small gems to big indie newcomers, gamescom 2025’s own Awesome Indies Show brings a wealth of fresh indie game announcements to show fans what’s next to land on the indie game landscape. In the established show format, gamescom will present the international indie community with world premieres and new announcements, exclusive trailers, and never-before-seen gameplay material from the world of indie games.  

Outside of the already exciting announcements of Kirby Air Riders Nintendo Direct, and fresh looks being shown of World of Warcraft: Midnight alongside Resident Evil: Requiem, there’s a reason for gamers of all genres to be excited. Everything revealed at the Awesome Indies Show can be seen below.

Grind Survivors

When demons rose, earth fell. Fans will have to decimate the ranks of hell in this new bullet hell title reminiscent of Vampire Survivors shown off at the Awesome Indies Show. Players will grind, loot and kill through a fast-paced action roguelike where demon hunters face endless hellspawn, with dynamic builds and ever-changing weapons in a scorched, demon-ridden world. Grind Survivors will launch at a TBD date soon.

A Storied Life: Tabitha

The next title revealed at the Awesome Indie Show is a point-and-click cleanup title similar to Unpacking. A Storied Life: Tabitha is a wholesome narrative puzzle game about the objects people leave behind and the stories they tell. Complete a loved one’s damaged memoirs by exploring their home and packing away their things in A Storied Life: Tabitha, and it can be wishlisted now.

Beyond These Stars

The next planet/city-building simulator is coming soon, and players will be able to explore the stars and land on new worlds in Beyond These Stars. Players will be able to build a city on the back of a Space Whale and learn to coexist as they journey through the stars in search of wonder.

DarkSwitch

The next RTS, tower defence, civilization-like title, has been shown at the Awesome Indies Show, and fans will have to fight back threats to their community and defend their world against the dark when DarkSwitch launches at an TBD date. The demo is playable now!

ROCKBEASTS

Awesome Indies Show At Gamescom 2025: Everything Announced!

Players will lead a band of misfits on a roller-coaster ride to stardom in the age of MTV, rock anthems, and bad haircuts. You will be forced to manage entitled bandmates, who double as many household animals that can be located in a Zoo, but instead they have foul mouths and self-entitlement. ROCKBEASTS is coming soon.

Deep Dish Dungeon

The next title out of Raw Fury is a spelunking dungeon delving title with pixelated graphics and a big design. This first-person perspective dungeon diver will have fans on their toes in a survival exploration game where you navigate through a puzzle-leaden, hand-crafted dungeon, with metroidvania and crafting elements. Deep Dish Dungeon can be played solo or co-op, and it can be wishlisted now.

Light Odyssey

This sprawling adventure sees players embody a small light-filled character in a bleak dark world loaded with towering, frightening boss fights that have multiple phases. Light Odyssey (revealed at Awesome Indie Show 2025) is a soulslike boss rush where every battle is a test of mastery. Play as Bandi and fight to restore light to a world consumed by shadows when it launches at a TBD date soon.

MÖRK BORG Heresy Supreme

This side-scrolling beat-em-up features gory visuals and grotesque enemies to face off against. When facing encounters, you might run into a dice roll check, and that will influence MÖRK BORG Heresy Supreme’s narrative. It can be wishlisted now.

Outbound

Square Glade Games’ next title, Outbound, was then shown off at the Awesome Indie Show at gamescom 2025. What the developers are calling a ‘Cozy-vival’ details Outbound’s insistence on maintaining a cozy vibe, stapled with some urgent tasks that have to be completed in a timely manner. Sustainability plays a huge part in Outbound, and the developers have implemented a system that rewards the player for picking up litter and more.

You can take your camper on the road, organize furniture, set up a home base right on top of your van, and much more, when Outbound lands at a TBD date in 2026.

Lost in the Open

The next strategy RPG sees players embody a King on the receiving end of a failed assassination attempt. Players must face the weight of the King’s past transgressions when Lost in the Open lands in early access on September 26.

Good Boy

This cozy metroidvania has players take control of a LAIKA Space Rover, capture and research alien creatures, complete quests for the other Rovers and forge a bond with your new Human friend, as you uncover the ancient mysteries of the planet Terra II. It can be wishlisted now.

Everdream Village

Awesome Indies Show At Gamescom 2025: Everything Announced!

The next farming, exploration, village building simulator is here, and in Everdream Village, you can definitely pet the dog and cook good food. Players will be able to build an ideal, cozy farm in a living village. Like other titles in the genre, you can form bonds with fellow villagers to lend a hand as you grow crops, care for animals, and craft a corner of paradise. Everdream Village can be wishlisted now

Cralon

A first person perspective dungeon diving title was shown next at the Awesome Indie Show, Cralon is a 3D immersive sim dungeon crawler with RPG and adventure elements, inspired by the ultimate dungeon classics (like Elder Scrolls). While hunting a demon, the player has fallen into the abyss of an old mine, and it’s up to you to equip yourself, fight creatures, solve quests, uncover secrets and find a way out.

Sintopia

Piraknights Games’ next title, Sintopia, sees players manage their best version of Hell, or their best embodiment of God almighty. Fans can manage sins, and rule Hell, when Sintopia launches soon.

Denshattack!

Fireshine Games then took the Awesome Indies Show to showcase their next title, Denshattack!. In Denshattack!, players will be able to control a train that just leapt off the pages of an action comic, and many obstacles will stand in your way. Denshattack! Will arrive in the Spring of 2026.

Nice Day For Fishing

The developers at Viva La Dirt League then revealed their debut title at the Awesome Indie Show, and it tethers fishing and RPG mechanics together in a fresh mash-up called Nice Day For Fishing.

This 2D pixel art-based title has adventurers explore underwater dungeons in Azerim with fishing lures, and you’ll have to battle fish, enemies, and everything in between when Nice Day For Fishing hits marketplaces. Luckily for fans, Nice Day For Fishing is available now!

Rebounder

The next world premiere unveiled at Awesome Indie Show at gamescom 2025, is a precision 2D platformer with horror sci-fi visuals and a striking artstyle called Rebounder. It can be wishlisted now.

Star Birds

Star Birds is a relaxing asteroid base-building and resource management game, and its release date has been revealed at the Awesome Indies Show. Players can discover, mine, and terraform countless asteroids, when Star Birds launches on September 4.

Arcane Eats

This deckbuilding crucible shown off at the Awesome Indies Show, sees players answer mystical diner orders, and serve a crucible of inhabitants looking to kill their hunger in Arcane Eats. Where every card is a dish, and every turn is a bite, Arcane Eats sees players recruit a legendary kitchen crew, and rise through the heroic cooking guilds—before The Hunger consumes everything.

Esoteric Ebb

The next CRPG has players meet their controlled Cleric character (who’s regarded as “the worst cleric”), and you’ll have to stroll through the world of Norvik and interact with many characters to unravel a political conspiracy with your goblin sidekick. Fans can become a Cleric of legend, or ruin the narrative in Esoteric Ebb when it launches soon.

Type-NOISE: Shonen Shoujo

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era

Unfrozen Studios’ upcoming title, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, brings Heroes of Might and Magic to this generation of consoles. The official prequel hails back to the origins of the genre-defining, critically acclaimed series of turn-based strategy games, and this time around, Might and Magic brings a new tactical grid-based approach to combat.

WW1 – Gallipoli – Middle Eastern Front

Blackmill Games is bringing the WW1 game series back to the forefront of the Awesome Indie Show. Although only a cinematic cutscene was shown, FPS gameplay returns to the series also!

Hold The Mine

In this new comic-style roguelike survival adventure, players will have to delve deep within a mine, but will also have to stave off the forces of the undead outside of the mine in a tower defence-like title that doubles as a dungeon delver. It can be wishlisted now.
