Round 2

Battlefield 6's Successful Open Beta Returns This Week, And Here's How Fans Can Get In!

For fans who have missed last weekend’s Battlefield 6 Open Beta, or for those who want to play more, there’s a second open test period and here’s how to join!

Battlefield 6 continues to make headlines. From a fast VRR on consoles boasting up to 120fps on PS5 Pro (and 60fps on other release consoles), to fans appreciating last week’s Open Beta (which was observed as a ‘return to form’). The Open Beta has even broken records on SteamCharts, dethroning the previous highest player count record for a beta for Monster Hunter Wilds.

One thing is clear: EA may have a winner on its hands. But, for those who have missed out on last weekend or want to jump back onto the Battlefield before launch, EA has your six. There’s a second Open Beta test period, and anyone can join (this time, without early access).

While the first test period has come and gone, players still have a chance to make it for the encore. For fans to jump in, they need to have a PS5, an Xbox Series console, or a PC with the minimum specifications outlined below.

How To Join Battlefield 6‘s Second Open Beta

Differing from the first Open Beta period, the second test period opens today for all players without early access. The best part is that there’s no account linking like the first test; fans only have to download the beta itself from a platform-specific storefront and then fire it up to play. On top of that, for returning fans to the Battlefield 6 beta, there’s a new map, ‘Empire State,’ to check out alongside the new Rush and Squad Deathmatch modes.

After downloading, fans can jump right in. However, the second beta is off to a rough start, as many fans have already taken to the internet (namely Reddit) to complain about long queues, the inability to join games with friends, and an issue where the BF6 newsletter gets stuck on the homescreen. With that being said and issues aside, fans can enlist on Battlefield 6 beta servers starting today.

The second Battlefield 6 open beta runs from August 14 until August 17, and so far, there are no plans for another period before the game’s official launch on October 10. Fans interested should enlist today, as it may be the last chance to do so.
