Storming into an all-out warfare, Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios announce the Battlefield 6 first season roadmap, featuring new maps, weapons, and more.
As many Battlefield 2042 veterans and new players prepare for the launch of Battlefield 6 on October 10, 2025, Battlefield Studios has given a glimpse of what fans can expect during the first season. Kicking off on October 28, the first season will feature three phases, including Rogue Ops, California Resistance, and Winter Offensive, each bringing a variety of content to keep the game fresh and exciting.

Stepping into Battlefield 6, players battle in an all-out warfare on the ground and in the sky in a fighter jet. As players gear up and strategize how they will take on their enemies, the upcoming title features Tactical Destruction, a new Kinesthetic Combat System that overhauls the gunplay and movement, the return of Campaign Mode, Multiplayer for players to compete in various game modes, and Battlefield Portal for players to create a game mode in a massive sandbox.
As players cause havoc in Battlefield 6, each season introduces new content to keep the game fresh, with new maps, weapons, modes, vehicles, and more. Alongside enhancing the Multiplayer, the new content will be available for creators to add to their Community Experience through the Portal Builder Tools.

Arriving on October 28, the first season will launch with Rogue Ops, focusing on challenging squads to use their skills to achieve victory on the new map, Blackwell Fields. From bringing a new map to attachments, here is the new content that players can look forward to during the Rogue Ops phase:
- Blackwell Fields (Map) – A map for all combat sizes, land and air vehicles. Following the event of the single-player campaign, Pax Armata’s double agents launch a barrage of attacks on NATO targets. The strikes take place at a recommissioned American air base in the California badlands.
- Strikepoint (Mode) – Designed for 4v4 combats, a small team fights against another squad in multiple rounds to capture a key objective. However, each players have one life for each round.
- APC Traverser Mark 2 (Land Vehicle) – An Armoured Personnel Carrier that seats four, featuring one driver, one roof gunner, and two backseat passenger side gunners.
- SOR-300C (Carbine Rifle) – Compared to the platform’s 5.56, the SOR-300C has a low rate of fire and is a subcompact carbine chambered in the higher-damage .300 Blackout ammunition.
- Mini Fix (Sniper Rifle) – A lightweight bolt-action sniper rifle, designed for aggressive playstyle.
- GGH-22 (Sidearm) – A pistol with high capacity, high fire rate, and low damage.
- Rail Cover & LPVO (Attachments) – The first of many attachments to drop and usable for various rifles and light machine guns.

Following the launch of Rogue Ops, the second phase of the first season transitions to the California Resistance, focusing on the liberation of SoCal. As the United States alliance defy all odds and moves the battle to Eastwood, the second phase will bring two new guns, a map, a feature, and more. Launching on November 18, here is everything that players can expect from California Resistance:
- Eastwood (Map) – A map supporting all combat sizes, land vehicles and helicopters. Being part of a coordinated strike across the West Coast, the Pax Armata sleeper agents in the Eastwood community have been activated.
- Sabotage (Mode) – Designed for 8v8 combat, each team has one round each to play offence and defence, with a task to destroy as many sites as they can before the round time finishes.
- Battle Pickups (Feature) – Only available throughout a given map, players and their squad can embark on a quest to search for high-tech and powerful Battle Pickups, although they are limited in ammunition.
- DB-12 (Shotgun) – A unique dual-barreled pump-action shotgun, with one trigger to fire a shell or slug from one barrel, and another trigger pull fires the other.
- M327 Trait (Sidearm) – An eight-round revolver with high damage and a low rate of fire. Strong when used up close, but the damage drops off when compared to the .44 Magnum.
- Slim Handstop (Attachment) – A grip offering a choice for underbarrel choices, blending ergonomic and handling changes.

The final phase of Battlefield 6’s first season, Winter Offensive, launches on December 9, bringing a sub-zero, chilling winter and snow covering the Empire State. During the final phase, Season 1 will wrap up with a limited-time event and map update, alongside a melee weapon. Here is everything that will be taking place during Winter Offensive:
- Ice Lock Empire State (Limited-time map update) – For a limited time, the Empire State map will be covered in snow as a visual update.
- Ice Lock (Limited-time event) – Based around a mechanic called Freeze, it’s a gameplay modifier active in certain experiences.
- Ice Climbing Axe (Melee Weapon) – A new melee weapon that is typically used for climbing ice.
Battlefield 6 launches on October 10, 2025, for the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC via Steam, EA App, and Epic Games Store. To learn more about the first season, players can visit the EA website.
