On Christmas, fans of NFL Football were treated to a musical halftime show fans are referring to as the ‘Beyoncé Bowl’ and soon it will be available to rewatch on Neflix.
On the first ever Netflix NFL Christmas Gameday, the Houston Texans hosted the Baltimore Ravens at NRG Stadium and at halftime the award-winning artist Beyoncé performed fans are coining the ‘Beyoncé Bowl’ (a play on the Super Bowl’s usual iconic halftime performances). The performance included the first live performance of songs off her new album, COWBOY CARTER, which is the most GRAMMY-nominated album by a female artist, and soon fans will be able to relive the Beyoncé Bowl on Netflix.

The Beyoncé Bowl reportedly drew in over 27 million US viewers according to Nielsen, and at one point #BeyonceBowl has trended higher on X (formerly Twitter) than even #Christmas itself. The previous Christmas Day viewership record was 5.1 million since being reported back in 2001 by Nielsen. The halftime show was populated by stars in the music industry including Post Malone, Shaboozey, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Tiera Kennedy with Blue Ivy Carter (Beyoncé’s eldest daughter) joining the ensemble as a featured dancer.

While fans and Netflix have been calling the performance the Beyoncé Bowl, it’s not the singer’s first NFL halftime rodeo. Beyoncé has headlined the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVII on February 3, 2013, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and performed at Super Bowl XV, on February 7, 2016 alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars in Santa Clara, California. Technically, this is the third Beyoncé Bowl but the first that will be available to watch on Netflix at user convenience.
While no official release date has been given yet, the Beyoncé-led performance at NFL Christmas Gameday will be made available on Netflix soon. Fans can find more information including key watch figures over on the official website.
