Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Stops Fans From Getting Campaign Access Early

In previous years Call of Duty offered campaign access early for fans who pre-ordered, but Black Ops 6 is breaking the mould, everything releases on October 25.

For past entries, Activision opened the gates into Call of Duty‘s campaign chapters earlier for fans who have pre-ordered the latest title in the series, but that’s all changing with Black Ops 6. For the first time in years, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will release all of the content for the base game on one singular day, October 25. The news has been revealed on the Call of Duty-based news X (formerly Twitter) account, CharlieINTEL.

The Call of Duty watchdog reports a statement from an Activision representative reads “The team is fully focused on October 25th. We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. This year, we made the decision to ensure the community gets to dig in to any and all modes that they want at the same time, so we are back to one massive global launch moment October 25th. As such, there is no Early Access beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch.” This statement erases any chances Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 would be launching its campaign early as they’ve done in the years past.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 Direct: Every Detail Revealed So Far

Interestingly, the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise has already broken new ground by becoming the first Call of Duty title to be launched on Xbox Game Pass day one after the Microsoft Activision Blizzard merger went through last year. It’s also worth noting that Black Ops 6 has revealed the new game mode, Kill Order last week with the multiplayer open beta, so Activision could release new information about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at any point between now and October 25 when it finally launches.
