Bluesound Launches A Next Generation For NODE
Bluesound is poised to revolutionize the home audio market with updated models of their award-winning, hi-res wireless, multi-room audio players, the NODE and POWERNODE.

Both models have been upgraded with new quad-core processors for an 8x improvement over previous models, new DAC designs, and touch panel controls with presets and proximity sensors, which can integrate into your existing smart home networks.

Utilizing the BluOS Controller app for iOS, Android, PC, or Mac devices, users can connect to their own digital music libraries, dozens of streaming services, and hundreds of internet radio stations, using either Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections. Touch panels allow quick access to basic controls like play/pause, track skipping, and volume—or issue voice commands with Siri, Alexa, or Google Voice.

The POWERNODE “is the hi-fi amp reinvented for the streaming age” and “an intuitive ‘just add speakers’ hi-res sound system for modern music lovers.” (Bluesound)

The NODE Wireless Hi-Res Multi-room Music Streamer boasts “a new audiophile-grade DAC design” that supports both 24-bit/192kHz audio processing and MQA “for studio-quality listening.” This mighty little hub is meant to fit either a simple TV system, a gaming setup, or an audiophile’s dedicated listening room. Its bit-perfect sound can be output to hi-fi systems, through wired or wireless headphones, or by connecting to the RCA, Toslink optical, aptX HD Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack, Apple devices, or other Bluesound or BluOS enabled players.

Meanwhile the POWERNODE Wireless Multi-Room Streaming Amplifier is a compact, minimalist device packing 0 watts per channel of zero-distortion power, and supporting FLAC, MQA, and other lossless formats. It can toggle between multiple listening set-ups via the BluOS Controller app, tailoring your speaker usage to your specific needs—engage your subwoofer for a favourite bass-heavy song, or switch to a more movie theatre-esque arrangement on the fly.

With a wide array of supported inputs and outputs, Bluesound’s new amplifier can easily bring in music from streaming or physical sources, then send it to your favourite speakers, other Bluesound players, BluOS devices, Bluetooth headphones, wired headphones, Apple AirPlay devices, or other network-connected speakers.

The NODE and POWERNODE will retail for $549 and $899 USD respectively. Bluesound is now taking preorders ahead of their launch in June.

CGM recently received the PowerNode 2i and called it “an unparalleled audio fidelity experience that has no equal in the price or feature set.”
