Calling All Behemoth Slayers: Dauntless is Now Available on Nintendo Switch 2

As announced during the Nintendo Indie Worldwide Showcase, Phoenix Labs’ Dauntless is now available on the Nintendo Switch with full cross-platform support. So existing Slayers on Xbox One, PS4, and PC can now join up with new players on the Nintendo Switch to take on the game’s bevvy of Behemoths. This also marks the game’s debut in Japan, where it launched on all available platforms with full localization, subtitle, and character support.

Phoenix Labs also announced that the game has already surpassed the 15 million download mark, just in time for the new Stormchasers update. This is the biggest free content update Phoenix Labs has released to date.

The big update for Dauntless with the Stormchasers patch is the addition of the Escalation mode, which is a type of sequential hunt which features procedurally generated dual Behemoth encounters to provide endless amounts of replayability. Additionally, players will have access to a variety of Amp buffs after the end of each successful encounter. The mode will also have its own talent point progression system. If players earn a high enough level, their fourth encounter in Escalation will culminate in a showdown against the shock-infused Malkarion.

Malkarion itself is a rather unique Behemoth, as Slayers are given the chance to mount their prey, and its unique move-set introduces a number of new mechanics to the game for an additional challenge.

Stormchasers also includes the new Hunt Pass, Myth & Legend, which offers Slayers the opportunity to explore the history of Ramsgate. So it’ll be worth it for the lore fiends.
“It’s a dream come true for us to offer Slayers the chance to bring Dauntless with them wherever they go with Nintendo Switch,” said Jesse Houston, CEO and co-founder, Phoenix Labs. “The Switch offers versatility and mobility like no other platform on the market, and with our latest content update and release in Japan, the future is bright for Slayers around the world.”
