In an exciting announcement from CCP Games, the next expansion for the iconic space MMO, EVE Online, titled Revenant, is set to launch on November 12.
Carrying on from where Havoc and Equinox left off, this expansion promises to take players deeper into the Deathless saga, a storyline that has captivated the EVE community with its intricate narrative and intense space battles. As the Drifters lay siege to the Deathless in Zarzakh, players are called upon to uncover ancient secrets and wield powerful technology to shift the tides of war.

As with all major EVE Online expansions, Revenant introduces a range of new features designed to enhance both strategic gameplay and player collaboration. Among these is the ability to construct mercenary dens within nullsec regions, strategically deploying them around skyhooks to generate encrypted infomorphs.
These infomorphs can be exchanged with the Deathless for advanced ships and cutting-edge weaponry, offering players new tactics in their fight against the Drifters. Additionally, capsuleers can engage in Tactical Operations to boost their production capabilities, further strengthening their position in the ongoing conflict.
Revenant introduces unique Deathless ships—the Tholos destroyer and Cenotaph battlecruiser. These vessels are designed for close-range combat, equipped with damage-over-time weaponry that allows players to cloak and ambush enemies before delivering devastating attacks. This new tactical utility is expected to add depth to both PvP and PvE combat scenarios, offering players fresh strategies to explore.
Creative Director Bergur Finnbogason emphasized the thematic depth of Revenant, stating, “An ancient proverb says, ‘The enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ This is the theme for Revenant, which marks the continuation of an intense chapter in EVE’s history: the Deathless saga.” The expansion not only builds on existing narratives but also introduces new challenges as players navigate alliances and rivalries within New Eden.
Beyond combat enhancements, Revenant also focuses on fostering community and creativity among players. The expansion introduces enhanced Corporation Projects, allowing groups to streamline their goals by merging diverse activities into unified projects with set deadlines and participation limits. A new ship insurance project type further empowers corporations by automating ship replacements, ensuring that players can quickly recover from losses and continue their adventures.

The team at CCP Games is constantly working to deliver the best online experience possible, and Revenant is no exception. With its launch just around the corner, players won’t have to wait long to explore more of EVE’s storied universe. As always, CCP Games remains committed to expanding the possibilities within this beloved sandbox MMO, ensuring that EVE Online remains a dynamic and immersive experience for its dedicated community.
