CES 2026: Hohem Announces New Stabilizers and Portable Storage

Hohem used CES 2026 to unveil the MT3 series of gimbals and a new portable storage solution, the SSD-01.

Hohem, a major name in gimbals for years, has announced their latest line of stabilization gear, as well as a device that took me completely by surprise, all at CES 2026. In addition to two brand new gimbals, Hohem is releasing portable storage for mobile devices that will be a game-changer in mobile production.

Hohem iSteady MT3 Pro

Hohem has announced their iSteady MT3 series of gimbals, the MT3 and MT3 Pro, both with the company’s excellent PTZ stabilization, but with tools to help creators at any level capture the images that they need without a lot of extra weight. The Hohem iSteady MT3 weighs in at 1.69lbs with a payload capacity of 3.08lbs. Compatible with mirrorless cameras, action cameras and smartphones (without the need to buy additional adapters), the iSteady MT3 can also swap between vertical and horizontal shooting.

The flagship, the Hohem iSteady MT3 Pro, sports a removable remote control with a monitor so you can see your shot, select your tracking and trigger a record in the palm of your hand. It’s also capable of manual focus or zoom via the Spot Mini Motor, which adds minimal weight to the overall setup. The MT3 Pro offers up to 3 hours more battery life than the MT3 and weighs in at 2.36lbs with a payload capacity of 5.51lbs for the beefier camera/lens combinations. Tracking is also expanded from human-only subjects on the MT3 to human, animal, vehicle and more.

Their portable storage solution, the Hohem SSD-01, comes in 1TB and 2TB storage capacity in a tiny form factor, only 2.4” x 1.3” and weighing in at 23g. The SSD-01 connects directly to mobile devices and works with iOS and Android phones. iPhones can record directly to the SSD-01, and it supports ProRes RAW, Open Gate, and resolutions up to 4K/120fps with 2000MB/s read speeds and 1800MB/s write speeds. It’s small enough to be on your phone even while mounted on a gimbal. The SSD-01 can also take a microphone receiver connection and USB for charging.

The Hohem SSD-01 is $219 USD for the 1TB version and $339 for 2TB of storage.
