CES 2026: HP Refreshes Its PC Lineup With Snapdragon Power and Serious AI Ambitions

HP is kicking off the new year with a significant refresh of its consumer PC lineup, unveiling a slate of new devices at CES 2026 designed to blend professional-grade performance with creative flexibility.

There is plenty to be excited about in HP’s latest announcements, led by the new HP OmniBook Ultra 14. The company describes it as the world’s slimmest consumer notebook to offer high-end AI performance, and the specifications support that positioning. Buyers can choose between an HP-exclusive Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, capable of delivering up to 85 trillion operations per second for running multiple AI applications simultaneously, or next-generation Intel Core Ultra processors aimed at more graphics-intensive workloads.

Despite everything HP has packed into the new OmniBook Ultra 14, the laptop remains highly portable. It is 52 per cent lighter than its predecessor and five per cent thinner than the 2025 Apple MacBook Air 13 with the M4 chip, while still featuring a vivid 3K OLED display. The device also includes a posture-detection feature designed to prompt users if they begin slouching or holding their neck at an uncomfortable angle.

For users who prefer a stationary workstation, the HP OmniStudio X 27 all-in-one offers a compelling alternative. The company says it is the world’s first Neo LED all-in-one PC with dual 100 per cent colour coverage, positioning it as a strong option for designers and content creators. Internally, the system is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and can be configured with an optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 GPU.

HP is also pushing innovation with Thunderbolt Share, a new feature that allows users to connect a laptop directly to an all-in-one PC. The setup lets users control both devices with a single keyboard and mouse, or share the all-in-one’s high-quality webcam. It also introduces Surface View, a camera feature that allows the lens to tilt downward so users can share sketches or notes on their desk during video calls.

The broader update touches nearly every corner of HP’s consumer lineup. The OmniBook family now includes the X, 7, 5 and 3 series, each aimed at different needs and budgets. Notably, the OmniBook 3 16, powered by Snapdragon X, is claimed to deliver up to 45 hours of battery life, setting a new benchmark for endurance in consumer AI PCs, and something we at CGMagazine will need to test for ourselves.

Rounding out the announcements is the updated HP Chromebook Plus x360 14, which combines a rugged, drop-tested design with a 360-degree hinge and Google’s latest artificial intelligence tools. From the looks of things, it is a solid entry, especially for people who want to avoid the complexities of Windows or macOS, in favour of a more streamlined overall experience.

With these releases, HP is presenting a clear view of where it sees consumer computing heading, toward smarter and more adaptable hardware designed to support modern digital lifestyles. Early impressions suggest there is much to be interested in across the new lineup.
